Transmission Measuring Devices

For goods inspection and quality assurance

Areas of use:

  • Inspection of incoming goods for the laser welding process
  • Quality assurance for injection molding
  • Feasibility studies
  • Process development

The optical transmission of the upper plastic part determines the quality of the weld seam during the laser plastic welding process. As this material property can fluctuate due to production errors in the upstream processes (i.e. compounding, injection molding), the monitoring of the optical transmission as part of a comprehensive quality assurance is recommended.

LQ-TMG2

LQ-TMG2

The TMG2 is a handheld transmission measuring device. The unit is powered by standard 9-volt battery allowing for mobile use. The durable press-cast aluminum housing makes it ideal for industrial as well as lab environments.

  • Laser Class 1
  • Wavelength: 850nm
  • Power supply: 9V battery

LQ-TMG3

LQ-TMG2

The new LQ-TMG3 was designed for integration into laser welding systems, operating from power supplied by the laser welding unit. In this way each incoming part can be inspected for transmission ratings automatically before beginning the welding process. The TMG3 can also operate as a stand-alone or desktop unit, used in conjunction with a PC.

  • Laser Class 1
  • Wavelength: 980nm
  • Power supply: PC Kit 110 - 230 V / 50 - 60 Hz
